korilee Farewell

I am year 7 at Tt England school and it has being a good year in 2013. I have done cool things this year like doing art and making movies for the school. 

I have made very cool friends this year. Their names are Sonny and 
Mosa. Farewell to you two.  It has been a cool and a good year with yous.

Thank you Mrs Nua for  helping me with my reading. You have been very cool teacher.

I hope I am going to be in room 20 next year or in room 22 next year for 2014 it well be cool to be in one of those classes.

I like doing art and making movie for the school and. I like doing
my reading. Reading is cool for people like me and making funny
movies. 

   

Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela was a south African, reserved president. He was born on July 18 1918 and died on 5 December 2013. he spent 27 years in jail. Nelson Mandela first was blair high school he got sent to high school first then he went to local mission school.

Nelson Mandela died when the was 95 year old.He got arrested for breaking the law because he wanted to have the white and black together .

Nelson Mandela was in his 30s when he was sent to jail for believing that  white and black  people could be together. He was sent to jail for 27 years for what he did. Even in jail he was leader. After jail he was called many nice names. He made people dreams and hopes come true.

Nelson Mandela got out of jail when he was 50 he had a long hard long life he only got to have one person for 30min to talk to them then they would have to go.And he will only get to send one letter per month.

Nelson Mandela was a man to look up to in there day in this day people think that black people are weird so as the white people.

Nelson Mandela was just getting out of the hostillbull then just a few weeks later he got very sick the he had to go back the he got out again then 3or4 weeks later he died.

ANSWER:It has helped me by being internet weights and more safe.

Pt.england had cross country on Thursday in cross country on that day was very hot we have teams my team name is Te arawa and my brother he is in Te arawa too it is very cool in the cross country run my brother ran to the fished lion I do not on what he came we went to the tree and sat down and saw the aother people run in the cross country 
we were cheering on the people then it was are trne we ran and it was very mude my fiend silppe
over it was funny I silppe too I got up and ran agin
then it was my 2nd lamp  it was fun at runing I ran
for liaf I ran to the fished line I do not no what I came

Prospective Student

The boy was climbing up the vertical rocky face. He  made it to the point of the mountain but  was struggling,he look like he was  feeling exhausted. Luckily he only still had a small hill to hike until   he got to the dojo. “I hope I can get into the training school”. The boy is  climbing up the vertical mountain he made it to the top but he was struggling feeling exhausted he still had a small hill to climb till he gets to the dojo.I hope I can get into the training school”. Once he got to the dojo he knock on the door hoping the sansei will let him in.

The sansei just’s point’s away. The boy think that he is not good enough  to come to the training school. So he prove his self worthy to go to the school. It has been one day and night of meditation.In the moring he opens one of his eyes and sees the sansei. Then the boy stand up but the sansei point’s away again he take a big breath in and then out then he  run at the door and kick it opened the sansei point’s  and then the boy looks. Yellow Hat - The things I enjoyed

because one of them were a really good filmer so I think there are good partner.

Black Hat - Which things didn’t I like.

didn’t like was my team mates marking around when they had work to do so, we wanted to do what the teacher says.

Green Hat - What was something interesting about this week.

this week. My groups working together to get the job done, and so we don’t argu.

White Hat - What did I learn.What I learnt about was how to act like sansei and the student.

Blue Hat - What can I do better next time.

What I can do better next time is to get my timing write and everything finished in time.

MHKR (My Healthy Kitchen Rules)

Here I am in the finals of MHKR. It’s Mosa and Kori lee against Ashlee and Sophia. Kori and Mosa are cooking veggie burgers with salad and couscous. Ashlee and Sophia are cooking shrimp salad with african spices. Mosa and Kori put some tomato and salad with a little glimpse of lemon in the veggie burgers. Then they put in some chopped up cloves and then their veggie burger is finished. Ashlee and Sophia are now preparing their dish. They start by cooking the shrimp, while Ashlee was cooking the Shrimp, Sophia started on the Salad, she cut up onion, some cucumber, radish and african spices then suddenly both teams find themselves with one minute left on the clock. The teams start plating up, both teams are finishing off their dishes just as the clock hits zero. They’ve done it, now it’s the Chef’s turn to

taste.

The Chef prefered Mosa and Kori’s Veggie Burgers because they had created a beautiful and healthy dish.

Thanks to Mosa for helping me work on this.

Last term room 19 got a pace of paper.  We had to writ something god on their backs. we had to walk around and writ on the paper on their backs Some one writ

Kori's grave yard narrative.

Kori, Sonny and Mosa were going to a sleepover at Mo’s house.  They took a short-cut to Mo’s house but they had to go through the graveyard Kori was freaking out, Sonny said he saw something then they heard it shout “I’m coming”. They ran but Mosa was too slow, “I’m coming to eat you”. Mosa got eaten by the Thing. Kori and Sonny ran for their lives they got to Mo’s house they told Mo’s Dad, he went to get an axe from the shed they went back to the graveyard the Thing said “I’m coming to get you all and eat you all!!!” Kori, Mo and Sonny were running but Mo got eaten by the Thing then it got Sonny too, Kori was running but he got eaten then Mo’s Dad punched the Thing in the face it fell backwards and vomited people out then the Thing died.

Triathlon

On Wednesday room 19 and room 12 went to the top field to take part in the Triathlon, When we got there we saw bikes and a water slide next to the office. First we sat and watched room 12, the girls went first then the boys went.

In a normal triathlon you have swimming, cycling and running but ours was different because we had a water slide, we had to go around four times then we run to the bikes we rode in the cones then we were running

I did greed in the triathlon i was sliding and running and cycling it was cool

harakeke (flax)

Last week room 19 went to Omar creek to pck flax we walked to the creek when we got there
Rules suing the  harakeke flax.

When we got there we had to get in to buddy's  my buddy was Timoteo Ms T give  us a knife
to cut the harakeke flax when we had a  harakeke (flax).

Then we went back to school we started to weave the (flax).

Tuakana Teina Reading

Room 19  is doing something called Tuakana/Teina which means bigger sister or brother/Smaller brother or sister with room 9 every Tuesday in the library. We do it to help little kids with new words and meanings.

Sonny, Mosa and I don't have a Teina yet. so we read books and once we got to use the Ipads. I read some cool books and then I read some more.

The Cool Picnic

On Friday our school had a picnic, when we got there some of us went to play on the beach.Some of the group had lunch
under the tree. I make a sandcastle with my friends I found some cool shell.

Then I went on the rock I saw Howard on the rock then I went to have some lunch. Then I did some freerunning on the park with my friends.
Then we went  down to the beach freerunning then we saw mosa was making sand balls I maed a sand ball I kick it .

What is Compassion

What is compassion?  this year Pt England school is learning to be better Together  kia pai te  kotahi . in room 19 we have been investigating love. compassion honesty and tolerance ms Tito (our teacher) gave us a task to select one of these words to write a
definition and present an example of  what it means  to our class.  the reason we are learning about these  things are to help us understand ourselves and others so we can be a better person today and in the future.
